I was very touched to receive this message:
"Hi Michael: Someone linked me to your cover of Roy Buchanan's "The Messiah" - I was Roy's attorney (plus a dear friend and recording buddy - I'm a player too). The cover is a wonderful tribute to him and true enough to the original. I especially appreciated the suspense and the anticipation which was one of Roy's hallmarks - making you wait for that next note until you begged him to put you out of your misery:) He compared playing solo guitar to a seduction where he would tease and then pull back forcing the listener to come after him. This would continue until finally he would drive the lead home in a blistering frenzy of notes.
Here’s a pic of him playing my Ovation (we were in the studio together in 79 and 80) Enjoy and I look forward to being inspired by more of your music – you would have made Roy proud"

I am extremely grateful that the sender took the time to get in contact and I wanted to share this with you as a reminder of the power of music to bring people together all over the world.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Roy Buchanan's work then here is one of the finest examples of pure communication in music that I have ever encountered.
Stay tuned,
MDW
