George Gruhn is an iconic figure in the world of guitar retail - instantly recognisable with a stack of unobtainium guitars and a live snake around his neck - George has helmed Gruhn Guitars in Nashville TN for over 50 years.

I had no intention of filming when I flew out to Nashville in November 2022. I was there on assignment for a magazine but I did bring my cameras and a couple of tiny DPA lavalier mics just in case. One speculative message to Gruhn Guitars later and I was invited to spend an afternoon with George himself - This video shows him on fine form covering just about every topic of relevance in the guitar scene over the past five decades. Opinionated? Controversial? Not for me to say, but I can assure you talking with George is never dull!
