For many years I maintained a policy of not showcasing the work of any luthier that had made less than 30 instruments. This is much the same policy I had during my years as a dealer of fine handmade guitars. It did, however, mean that until recently I had denied myself the opportunity to discover and feature developing talent. That has now changed and in my new series ON THE JOURNEY I look at guitars by builders who are in the earlier stages of their careers.  My sincere hope is that we will be able to join them on their journey up as they reach 30 guitars.
